Arrival in Japan

Hello everyone in Chelsea!

8 students and 2 chaperons have arrived on time at airport. They looked very fine. I will send pictures which in the airport, with clock tower, to meet the mayor of Shimizu, welcome party. They danced very well. It was very nice. Tomorrow and day after tomorrow, they will spend hole time with their host family. So I will send you pictures on Monday.

Monday's Activities

I heard that they spend a good time on week end.

Temperature is over 30 degree Celsius today!! It was very hot day. It is going to be tomorrow too.

Today, they went to Shimohitomai elementary school. They played traditional Japanese toy with elementary school students and ate Japanese school lunch.

Tuesday's Pictures

Today they made japanese toys, name are MANGEKYO(kaleidoscope) and KAMIFUSEN(papre ballon). They made that very well. And they went to pekere's forest, maruyama observatory, ice arena and Mikage park. All day they did a lot of things and saw. They stayed spa and played fire works. You can see they looked very good on pictures.

Wednesday's Pictures

Today they have done KENDO and Calligraphy which are Japanese traditional cultures. I wonder have they had experience before? They were excellent!

Tomorrow they will have farewell party. I think they will ware YUKATA. It will be good!!

Thursday's Pictures

They have had many Japanese traditional experiences this day. They did ZEN, tea ceremony and watched flower arrangement. Some of them don't like Japanese tea, but others like very much.

And farewell party. Can you see? They looked good on Yukata. They had very good speeches.
